Donnie Darko was probably one of the more confusing and complex movies I have watched. I thought the lighting and camera work did a very good job of setting a dark theme for the film. I found it hard to keep up with the large amount of significant symbols and characters in the film, and am still confused whether or not this was actually time travel, or if he created an alternate reality in his head.
